DEICING AND DEFOGGING
ELECTRICALLY HEATED WINDOW
installed on new commercial, Navy, Coast
Guard vessels, as well as ships undergoing
conversion. Kearfott Heated Windows are
used year round under wide range of climate,
weather and temperature conditions. The
windows are completely assembled and
readyforinstallation.
Electrical energy is supplied to conducting
film through bus bars located at opposite
edges of glass. Sufficient thermal energy is
provided to maintain ice-free, frost-free, fog-
free window. Heating is controlled by specially
designed sensor controller that monitors the
window temperature.

`WINDOW WIPERS
Kearfott PENDULUM Window and Airport Wiper is designed with K-3039
the sole aim of producing a rugged and simple device to resist
the severe conditions inherent in marine operations. All parts are
made to withstand corrosion. Mounting arrangements are
flexible. The motor housing can be located outboard to the win-
dow or airport on any side or can be placed inside the bulkhead
with the drive shaft extending through a packing gland.
The unit is powered by a 1/25 h.p. 115 volt AC/DC motor. Also
available are 12, 24, and 32 volt DC motors. For operation on 220
volts a fixed resistance unit in enclosure is supplied.
The standard accessories include a combination rheostat
speed control and "off" switch in a totally-enclosed case. Maxi-
mum arm length 20". Rubber blade length available from 8" to 20".
Various wiper arm arrangements can be furnished including
single, dual arms and parallel blade motion.
For operation under severe icing conditions, heated arms on
inside mounted wipers and pivot heaters on outside mounted
wipers are available.
